What is Molecular Genetics Anyway?

I live in the same city as The Ohio State University. They recently help their spring quarter graduation and one graduate made the news. I do not remember his name. It was shadowed by his accomplishments. He was 15 ½ and had just graduated with a degree in molecular genetics (whatever that is). When you asked him what he planned to do next he responded with “get a driver’s license”. I think a fifteen you would have to get a work permit just to get a job. This young man’s 12 year old brother had just finished his first quarter at Ohio State. What do you suppose his major is? Why biomedical engineering, of course. Now I must mention that these children’s father is a professor at Ohio State and they were home schooled.
