Solo and Ensemble Contest

My son and several other teenagers that are in his high school band went to another area high school for solo and ensemble contest. This is where soloist and ensembles play band music for judges. These judges award them a rating of 1,2 or 3. With the 1 being th desired rating.
He played his French horn along with 2 other players. They did get a 1 rating. My husband and I went to see his and several of his fellow band members perform. It was an enjoyable event. I gave me time to relax between events and spend time with my family.
I sometimes wonder what I did that allowed me to be blessed with a son that has so much talent and motivation.

It is good to hear that your son is doing so well. I will wait to hear about his solo album.
