They are doing Footloose and that is different kind of play for them. We went to dress rehearsal last night. I enjoy that more than the actual play. It is informal and is attended by the cast and crews’ family and friends. It is the only time that you are allowed to take pictures and record the production.

The play was good, but is a little bit of a let down after the past few years. The guy that was the lead the last three years was very talented. He is majoring in theater in college. But every one seems be having a good time and that is what is important.

That seems to be the story of my life and my job seems to be the worst offender. We have hired a temporary employee and between she and the other girl that is in my department, they are absent more than once a week. I would be able to stay caught up if I wasn’t always having to do someone else’s work.

I try to deal with, but sometimes I have a very hard time not being resentful. Even though nothing good can come from this emotion and zaps your energy, I have a hard time just blowing off the fact that I am overwhelmed mostly due to other people not coming to work. It appears as though I stand a good chance of being caught up tomorrow, provided nothing drastic happens and I am very excited about the concept.

I think better if I stay busy, but I become angry if I am overwhelmed. This only tends to happen when there are absences or when my boss offers our service when he shouldn’t. But once again, I having a feeling of optimism as I anticipate my “to do” list coming under control.

This is my kitty, Mary. She came into our home a year ago. She was nothing but skin and bones. She weighed 4 and a half pounds and looked rough. Within a few days, we realized she was pregnant. She didn’t run from people, but she didn’t really want attention. She did not seem to enjoy being petted like most cats do.

What a difference a year makes. She now ways about 7 pounds. She is very active. She loves being petted and being around people. Our lives have changed a lot since she came into our home. We have a good time with her and her kittens. She only had 2 kittens and we kept them both. Here is a picture of what she looks like now.

Outside of my immediate family I have no relatives in the state I live in. My cousins all live in Philadelphia and I have many memories of visiting them. I can remember visiting Independence Hall (back when you could just walk right in) when the Liberty Bell was still inside the hall.

I have been to many of their unique museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I recently went back there and was amazed at how different everything seemed. Now we all know that everything seems so much smaller and different as an adult, but a lot has also changed since 9/11. Things are much more secure and more difficult to see, but it still worth seeing if you are in Philadelphia.

It was sunny and warm. Overall, it was a very nice day. But today it is cold again. It kind of snow, but it didn’t really amount to anything. I am ready to see things start to look alive again. I want to see the outdoors begin to look alive and the animals become active. There are some nice parks in this city and I am anxious to be able to get out and walk in the outdoors.

Part of my recovery this year is going to be dealing with my weight and getting the last of it off. I do much better if I can get outside and exercise. And if I a walk in a park where I am surrounded by the beauty that only God can create, it not only exercises my physically, it helps clear my mind of the many distractions that life hands us.
