Delta and Dawn went Home…

Being the person I am, I have a soft spot in my heart for the underdog, especially if they are animals. I have loosely been following the saga of Delta and Dawn, the mother and baby whale that ended up in the delta to Sacramento. They were believed to have been injured by a boat’s propeller. They had a rough time of it as they same through the fresh water bay, but a few days ago they started showing signs of improving and started heading back to the ocean. Wednesday, they were no longer in the bay and it was believed that during the night they peacefully swam back out to sea.
